Occupational Therapy Services

Occupational Therapy at Lee Maitz OT is child-led and family- centred, aimed at supporting children to thrive in the everyday activities that they want to do and need to do in order to live a meaningful, fulfilling life.

Children learn by doing and doing is noisy, untidy, messy and unpredictable.

Through a combination of play, connection and sensory integration, we aim to support and empower children of all ages and diagnoses to overcome challenges and barriers associated with:

  • Play and social skills

  • Behaviour and Emotion Regulation

  • Sensory Processing

  • Feeding

  • Sleep

  • Dressing

  • Hygiene and grooming tasks

  • School activities and participation

  • Sport

  • Attending family and community events

Occupational Therapy services typically begin with an assessment with subsequent therapy sessions delivered in our clinic.

In addition, school and home observations and consultation are often recommended to ensure success and mastery across the child’s everyday environments. Home and school programs are also developed to supplement therapy sessions and provide the child with daily opportunities to practice skills.
