Hi, I’m Lee.
I’m an Occupational Therapist and educator supporting kids and families to live happy freedom-filled lives.
Growing up on the beautiful, natural landscapes of the Clarence Valley on Yaegl Country, I spent my childhood swimming, surfing and exploring the beaches and the natural world off the beaten track.
I left the sunny north coast to study Occupational Therapy at Sydney University and, after working with a variety of hospital and community caseloads, established what is now known as Lee Maitz OT- an Occupational Therapy practice specialising in paediatrics.
Since then, I have been gifted the opportunity to work with more than 1000 children and collaborate with parents, carers, teachers, therapists and medical professionals to support the unique needs of each child. I have expanded my knowledge and attained certification in a range of cutting edge treatment approaches and, fifteen years on, I continue to work with children with a wide range of needs- each child contributing piece by piece to my knowledge and expertise in child development.
It’s my mission to share the knowledge that I have accumulated to make a difference in the lives of ALL children and families. I have taught the Occupational Therapy course at Southern Cross University and provide workshops on a range of child development topics in schools, preschools, early intervention settings and at my own events- I can honestly say it never grows old for me.
